Our Leaders

Wendy 

I became a Christian at the age of 14 when God showed me clearly that my sin had put Jesus on the cross.  Having received His forgiveness I knew that I belonged to Him.  A very good Christian Union at school grounded me in the Faith and taught me basic doctrine which I continued to study at college. 

During my life I have experienced most Christian denominations including the House Church movement.
Having taught in both a mainstream and special school all my life I have now retired. Since then I have spent several years invigilating public examinations at a City Academy school and also in marking Bible Correspondence Courses for students of all ages in other countries for whom English is a second language. 

                                                   At Sewardstone I am part of the Leadership Team as well as a Trustee, and do much of the administration.

Philip

Called to the ministry in 1980 Philip planted two churches in West London.  Involved in over 70 mission trips overseas, he has been instrumental in encouraging and inspiring many into full time ministry.  Following the outpouring of the blessing in Toronto in 1994 he and his wife Daphne pioneered a church for the homeless and those bound by addiction.  Involved in a number of Bible Schools Philip has developed a teaching ministry that is practical and well balanced.  In January 2022 he joined the leadership team at Sewardstone Church to work alongside them serving the church.

Peter

I have worshiped at Sewardstone Evangelical Church for over 30 years and recently became a leader. I am also one of the Sewardstone Church Premises Ltd directors and coordinate the practical team.

I enjoy painting and run the weekly Art and Craft Club. Each year I plan and prepare the Christmas decorations. 

I help lead the Sunday morning worship at Sewardstone. Outside of church I am also in a choir. My other big interest is bird watching. Living locally I take an interest in local issues.
